How I can save a mint condition silver coin from the coin, to deteriorate? How can you prevent a silver coin to deteriorate? I want the condition of my silver coin is preserved. Is it okay if the coins are exposed to light and heat. I think I found an answer. This depends on the size of the coin, cent, nickel. Tell me, and so on. Capsules are sealed with a rubber stamp on them to block the entry of moisture. You can get them online or from a coin dealer that supplies section. But if the coin is uncirculated, please do not have touched the face or reverse of the coin. This can lead to contamination of the oils from your fingers to tarnish and corrode the surface of the coin mint, proof coins are very sensitive. You can get a fairly cheap pair of cotton gloves clean for about $ 04.03, in line to run their tests or UNC coins. Hope this helps.

The safest place for it is in your a$$ crack.
A thin sheen of oil will keep it from tarnishing. wrap it in cotton after you have applied the oil (Linseed is what I use)
